Description

In this unit pupils will explore digital devices, with an initial focus on inputs, processes, and outputs. Pupils will be introduced to computer networks, including devices that make up a network infrastructure and the benefits of connecting devices in a network.

This unit helps pupils understand the difference between digital and non-digital devices, focusing on how inputs, processes, and outputs work. It introduces them to the basics of computer networks and the key devices involved, like switches and wireless access points. Learning this now builds a strong foundation for understanding how digital systems connect and work together, which is essential knowledge as they grow up in a connected world.
