Description

In this unit pupils will develop their understanding of how digital images can be changed and edited, and how they can then be resaved and reused. They will consider the impact that editing images can have, and evaluate the effectiveness of their choices.

This unit helps pupils understand how digital images are created, edited, and shared, developing their skills in using digital devices purposefully. Pupils are beginning to navigate online content independently, so it's vital they learn how images can be changed and the impact these changes can have. By exploring photo editing, pupils consider ethical and social implications, such as misrepresentation and influence on self-image, becoming more critical and responsible digital consumers.

  1. Changing digital images
  2. Recolouring digital images
  3. Cloning digital images
  4. Combining images
  5. Creating digital images for a purpose
  6. Evaluating digital images
