Description

In this unit pupils will discover how to create websites for a chosen purpose. They will identify what makes a good webpage and use this information to design and evaluate their own website. Pupils will consider copyright and fair use of media, the aesthetics of the site, and clear navigation.

Having used websites in various forms and on a variety of devices, pupils will be introduced to creating websites for a chosen purpose to appreciate what makes effective presentation of information in digital media. Pupils will identify what makes a good webpage and pay specific attention to copyright and fair use of media, the aesthetics of the site, and navigation paths. This knowledge will ensure that pupils know how to responsibly use digital media effectively to convey a message to the world.
