Description

In this unit, pupils will begin to understand that sequences of commands have an outcome and will start to make predictions about what these outcomes may be. Pupils will use and modify designs to create their own quiz questions using sequences of code blocks.

Pupils build on their Year 1 experience with block-based programming to understand how sequences of commands produce outcomes. They begin to predict code behaviour and see how small changes affect results. By designing and modifying quiz questions, they learn to plan and create simple programs. This develops problem-solving and logical thinking, laying the foundation for more complex programming in later years.
