  • Finance and the economy

Description

Using the example of housing, pupils explore a range of different financial decisions, products and services. They consider how they can prepare to become financially independent and what advice is available to them.

This unit builds on pupils existing knowledge of personal and public spending and their understanding of debt, credit loans, savings investment and risk. Using the example of housing, students critically consider how personal and public spending and economic decisions can impact housing nationally.

  1. How are financial products changing the way we manage money?
  2. How do financial systems affect access to housing in the UK?
  3. How can financial planning support independent living?
  4. How can investment and finance transform communities?
