Description

This unit expands topic-specific vocabulary on a range of media topics, including TV and cinema, computer technology and social networks. It further develops pupil knowledge of negation, revisiting previously met negative structures and introducing ne...ni...ni... with all tenses.

This unit develops ability to communicate about topics related to popular culture, media, and technology. Pupils will use a range of new vocabulary and consolidate already known grammar as they discuss topics which form part of everyday lives in modern society. The use of negative structures, following on from previous units focusing on these, will enable pupils to discuss the limitations and risks, as well as the benefits, of social media, computers, and celebrity culture. These structures can be applied to all future KS4 topics where there is an element of opinion and debate.
