  • The future and conditional

Description

In this unit, pupils consolidate their knowledge of modal verbs devoir, vouloir, pouvoir and savoir in the present tense singular forms. They also revisit aller with infinitive to express future intention and revisit question formation and negation in two-verb structures.

In this unit, pupils revisit modal verbs in singular form in the context of a visit to Paris, and refresh their knowledge of the aller + infinitive in all forms to express future intention when planning visits to new places. Revisiting two-verb structures with modals and the near future provides further opportunities for pupils to secure this knowledge, along with further practice of ne...pas with two-verb structures, question forms and adverb placement.
