Description

In this unit, pupils learn the highly frequent verb 'aller' in all forms. Talking of going to places, they learn the forms of 'à' meaning 'to'. Practice of intonation questions is expanded with the question words 'où', 'comment' and 'quand'. Silent final e and é (-er, -ez) are revisited.

In this unit, pupils expand their verb lexicon with the highly frequent 'aller' firstly in singular forms, which are then revisited and extended with the plural forms. . The lesson provides multiple opportunities to consolidate the verb with the options for 'to' - à la/au/à l'/aux. These options are practised in both question and answer form, with additional question words 'où', 'quand' and 'comment'. Students are given plentiful practice opportunities for consolidation and the number of components they are combining in their conversations increased.
