  • Verb: to have, having

Description

In this unit, pupils revisit and consolidate prior grammar learning, known vocabulary and sounds of the language. They specifically revisit articles, gender and number, possessive adjectives, il y a, il n'y a pas de and the French alphabet.

Pupils reactivate previous knowledge of the verb avoir, articles, gender, number and the alphabet as they practise asking and answering the question 'Comment ça s'écrit?'. The context of Francophone countries provides a rich basis for practising previously taught sound-symbol correspondences for both written transcription and oral practice on spelling place names.
