Description

Pupils revisit -er verbs and question words with 'est-ce que in contrast to intonation and inversion questions. They learn numbers 13-31, use the pronoun 'on' meaning 'people, you, one'. Possessive adjectives now include son,sa,ses and notre, nos. The SSCs em,am, aim,im and om are practised.

This unit builds on pupils' previous knowledge of questions and answers, with question words now added to the 'est-ce que' structure. Knowledge of -er verbs is embedded in the context of celebrations as pupils prepare interview questions for celebrities, and talk about how and when people celebrate cultural events in France and family birthdays. Possessive adjectives are revisited and extended with questions and answers on birthdays which develop pupil's communicative skills and confidence.
