Description

Here pupils extend their knowledge of -ir verbs like sortir and venir and add verbs like choisir in all forms. The formal 'vous' and 'on' and the present tense with future meaning give pupils more options to talk with others about activities and routines. Liaison, elision with h is taught.

In this unit, pupils consolidate and extend their knowledge of frequent irregular -ir verbs like sortir and venir in all forms. Verbs like choisir and finir are also learnt in all forms. Pupils extend their communicative competence with formal vs plural 'vous' and 'on' when asking and answering questions in the context of school exchange and school life in general. Pupils develop comprehension skills in listening to longer passages on French school life. New vocabulary and the present tense with future meaning supports more detailed dialogue on routine and upcoming plans.
