Description

This unit focuses on mastering the use of reflexive pronouns and verbs. It also revisits perfect and imperfect tenses, relative clauses and negation, and introduces the past participles of modal verbs. There is a further focus on avant de + infinitive and après avoir + past participle.

This unit explores a range of everyday contexts which allow pupils to deepen understanding of a range of grammar points met at KS3 and KS4. Reflexive and modal verbs feature particularly strongly in describing daily routine, household chores and preparing for exams. Daily routine is covered through the life of a Francophone band, so pupils also gain popular cultural knowledge and learn to talk about others as well as themselves. Pupils also expand their transactional vocabulary in practical everyday contexts such as shopping trips, preparing them both for role-play and real life scenarios.
