Description

In this unit, pupils revisit 'être', 'avoir', intonation and inversion questions. The question structure 'est-ce que' is introduced. Feminine adjective agreement and feminine noun formation rules are extended. Liaison with 'h' and stress syllabification are introduced, and s-liaison revisited.

This unit predominantly revisits known vocabulary and grammar in the context of people and their jobs. Pupils expand their practise of asking and answering questions as 'est-ce que' is introduced. Pupils also expand their accuracy in describing jobs using être and profession without an article. Feminine noun and adjective formation rules are extended as pupils use these more readily and accurately in reading and responding to texts, and in a class survey on future jobs.

  2. Jobs: plural 'avoir' or 'être'. Article use with professions
