Staying safe

In today's lesson you will be thinking about the dangers you may face when using an electronic device. You will learn the story of 'Smartie the Penguin' who receives a tablet for his birthday but when he begins to use it, he is faced with many dangers and does not know what to do about it. You will be shown what steps to take to keep safe using electronic devices through a song and thereafter you will create a penguin eye mask to remind you of the rules that Smartie the penguin learnt, and followed.

In today's lesson we will be recognising and understanding dangers you could find in the home. You will be exploring the different rooms and be thinking about the dangers you might find and how it would harm you. From this you will create a poster warning others of the dangers they might find and how to keep safe.

In today's lesson you will be learning about the dangers around fire and fireworks. You will think about what would happen if you got burnt. You will understand how to keep safe by following some safety rules and learn what to look out for. You will then create a display of fireworks exploring different colours and add a warning sign.

In today's lesson you will be thinking about dangers in the environment, when you are out and about in your local neighbourhood. You will learn about the dangers to look out for and safe places you can play. You will learn the safety rules to follow for different spaces you may visit. From this you will show your understanding by creating a safe space model.
