
Hardip Begol CBE

Hardip spent two decades at the Department for Education and, from 2012 to 2014, was the Director responsible for reform of the National Curriculum, GCSEs and A levels, and school accountability.
He also had senior civil service responsibility for special educational needs and disabilities, the Education Act 2011, independent education, safeguarding and counter-extremism. He was Director for Integration and Communities from 2017 to 2019 at the former MHCLG. After leaving Government, he was CEO of Woodard Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust with six secondary schools across England.
He is currently a Board member at Ofqual, the qualifications and exams regulator; a member of Eden Academy Trust; and a Non-executive Director at the Centre for Education and Youth, a think and action-tank.
He was awarded a CBE for services to education in 2017.
