The internet is the same as the World Wide Web.
The World Wide Web is a service that is offered over the internet. The internet is the network that transfers data whilst the World Wide Web is the system of sharing information that people use.
Teacher tip
Ask the students to create a mind map or concept map to illustrate the different services offered over the internet and how they relate to the World Wide Web. Make sure that pupils understand how much we use computer networks as part of our everyday lives.
