Common misconception
Some of the word pairs will need extra explanation such as 'squint suspiciously'.
Provide an example of when someone might 'squint suspiciously'. For example, 'She squinted suspiciously at the unfamiliar figure lurking in the shadows, unsure of their intentions.'
Start this lesson by showing some images of people looking at something and generate synonyms for the verb 'look'. You can then refer back to this if any of the taught words match these words.
