Description

Pupils will learn how abstract artists convey feelings and emotions through their use of colour, line and shape. They will take part in practical abstract exercises before designing and creating an abstract felt panel themselves.

In this unit, pupils return to abstract themes explored in previous units. This unit is the pupils' most comprehensive study of abstract art. They will learn many of the principles and techniques used by artists to convey feeling and emotion before applying them to their own composition. This unit introduces new textiles processes, materials and techniques.
