Description

In this unit, pupils will explore art, artefacts, and architecture from around the world. Through hands-on activities, they will experiment with different making techniques and materials to create artworks. Pupils will gain a wider context of how art shapes and reflects our global history over time.

Pupils continue to explore through play, encountering colour, pattern, texture, line, shape and form. This unit addresses artistic elements in a creative, collaborative manner and embraces a 'make first' materials led approach.

  1. Drawing flowers: shape and line
  2. Make flower sculptures: texture
  3. Tonal flowers
  4. Colour mixing for the garden
  5. Print and pattern with vegetables
  6. Combine elements and create a flower garden
