Description

In this unit puils will investigate, explore and use a range of materials and techniques to create drawings. They will make art expressively and spontaneously, create texture and surfaces with charcoal and create patterns with familiar shapes.

Mark-making helps pupils be more articulate and expressive when drawing. By discovering how different materials can be controlled, combined and synthesised into personal outcomes, pupils can better describe their subject in ways to suit their intentions. At this age, pupils are developing their ability to think and act in imaginative ways and this unit gives them a greater ability to realise their ideas.
