Common misconception

German forms comparatives in the same way as English.

Use 'als' to compare things that are different and 'so ... wie' to compare things that are the same.

Learning Cycle 2 contains word patterns 8 and 9 which are higher grammar. Learing Cycle 3 makes some references to word patterns 8 and 9 which could be removed if teaching a foundation class. Starter quiz question 2 and exit quiz questions 2 and 3 are higher tier only.
