Key learning points
- Use 'ne ... pas' for saying what doesn't happen, 'ne ... jamais' for 'never' and 'ne ... rien' for 'nothing'.
- Wrap 'ne ... pas', 'ne ... jamais' or 'ne ... rien' around the conjugated verb to make the sentence negative.
- With 'aller' + infinitive, the negative words wrap around the conjugated form of 'aller'.

Common misconception
The French for the Internet is 'l'Internet'.
In common usage, the Internet is translated as 'internet' in French. It does not require a capital letter as it counts as a common noun. It is one of very few common nouns that doesn't require a determiner in common usage.
