Common misconception
I will just remember the new French words I learn.
When learning a new language, it is important to practise vocabulary regularly to strengthen your memory. It's hardest to remember the words we learnt some time ago, so we need to practise them often.
To help pupils remember the diferent singular forms of a verb, it can be engaging and effective to use gestures to cue the pronoun and verb forms in whole class retrieval practice. Suitable gestures are provided on slide 7 of this lesson.
