Reviewing a digital product

Lesson details

Learning outcome

I can review and provide feedback on a digital product.

Key learning points

  1. Feedback should be carefully crafted to provide constructive information that informs improvement.
  2. Criteria can be used to help structure the reviewing process and assess the success of a digital product.
  3. Comments providing feedback can be left directly in a digital product.

Keywords

  • Feedback - information about a product to inform improvement

  • Criteria - a factor on which you judge or decide something

  • Comment - a written or spoken reaction to express an opinion

Common misconception

Feedback is about telling people what has been done wrong and giving commands.

Feedback should be supportive and constructive. Feedback should include details of what has gone well as well as suggestions to help improve the product.

Teacher tip

For Task B in this lesson, learners could use slide decks created in previous lessons of the unit if they have them. An example slide deck has also been included that can be used in Task B, this could be adapted to suit the context and needs of learners if necessary.

Equipment

Pupils will need access to a device that is connected to the internet and has software that allows them to take notes.
