Equator - The Equator is an imaginary line encircling Earth at 0° latitude and is an equal distance from the North Pole and the South Pole.
Plantation - A plantation is an area of land on which one kind of crop is grown, e.g. trees for wood.
Common misconception
We grow all the food we eat in the UK.
We import lots of the food we eat. Bananas, for example, can be imported from Jamaica.
