They apply their knowledge of verb stem changes in the present tense, for example and extra 'e' in du findest, dropping an 'e' in 'ich sammle' and changing 'st' to 't' for verbs like tanzen - du tanzt. Pupils build further confidence in asking and answering questions with strong verbs in discussing reading habits and practise present tense with future meaning in talking about a competition.
