Pupils will further develop their understanding of how data relating to physical activity participation or sports performance can be collected, compared to normative data and presented to help inform analysis. As a synoptic skill that is required to tackle aspects of both paper 1 and paper 2 content this unit will draw on examples from a number of topic areas and be further explored in socio-cultural and health, fitness and well-being units.
Prior knowledge requirements
- Pupils know what a graph is and which the x and y axis are
- Pupils understand how data can be presented in different forms of line, bar and pie charts
