IT is only used by teachers in schools.
IT is used by everyone in schools, including students (e.g. on tablets or computers) and other staff (e.g. librarians using scanners).
Teacher tip
You should have a clear understanding of information technology devices used in your school and it helps pupils to understand where IT is around them. For younger learners, IT can be explained as being a computer or something that is made to work with computers.
