Common misconception
There are different words in French for the indirect object pronouns 'to him' and 'to her'.
There is just one third person singular indirect object pronoun in French, 'lui' , which means both 'to him' and 'to her'. It follows the same rule as other object pronouns - it precedes the verb.

You may wish to have a map available to remind students where France and Algeria are in the world and be ready to explain why there is a link between the two countries.
