Common misconception
'Ich will' in German means 'I will' in English.
'Ich will' (from the verb 'wollen') means 'I want to', but is a common false friend. The future tense in German needs 'werden' with a 2nd verb in the infinitive.
Teacher tip
Encourage students to memorise examples of questions and answers with 'werden', 'wollen' and 'möcht-' to build their confidence and ability to vary the structures in their work. There are examples in the lesson. Task A has a recording of the read aloud task, if desired.
