Common misconception
'I am reading' and 'I read' both translate as 'leo'.
'I am reading' is the present continuous and therefore it translates as 'estoy leyendo'. 'I read' is the present simple and it translates as 'leo'. We need to use context and time markers to know when to use each.
Teacher tip
Teachers can adapt task C4b by giving pupils the freedom to choose the content of their dialogue. They can provide bullets in English with a brief description on what kind of information to include (time to meet up, place, what they are doing, etc.).
