Description

In this unit pupils will investigate how Christians and Jews celebrate the natural world. They will examine case studies that to understand that there may be similarities and differences around the world. They will examine the concept of stewardship in Christianity and Jewish idea of tikkun olam.

In Year 1 pupils looked at the creation stories in Genesis to understand how many Christians and Jews believe in divine origin to the world. Here they will look at this idea through a social science lens. By examining how people celebrate festivals they will connect the ideas of creation with how diverse Jews and Christians mark nature.
