Description

In this unit pupils will be introduced to the different explanations that people have for the origin of the world. They will learn the creation stories common to Christians, Jews and Muslims as well as how humanists explain the origin of the universe.

The Creation narratives are key to understanding Christian and Muslim view of God. Pupils can build on their knowledge of these worldviews to explore why the world is important. It allows pupils to see that there are different ways of seeing these stories and that humanists explain the world using natural origins.
