Description

In this unit pupils will examine the role of music and silence within Christianity, Muslim and Sikh worldviews. They will investigate how music is used differently within worldviews, and how worldviews may have different attitudes to the use of music and silence.

This unit comes at the end of Year 3 as pupils will have a grounding in the worldviews they have studied. This important knowledge will enable them to investigate the idea of spirituality with understanding. It is important for pupils to see that many worldviews look beyond texts for meaning, but also that attitudes are diverse and contested.
