Description

In this unit pupils begin to explore the Hindu Dharma. Through four stories they will draw out key ideas about the divine, compassion and pluralism that they will revisit throughout the curriculum.

After spending some time looking at Abrahamic traditions, pupils now spend a unit beginning to explore Hindu Dharma. This worldview is chosen as it is the oldest in the world. Stories are used as a way of emebedding some complex ideas. The concept of dharma will be built upon in Year 4 and 6. Worldviews such as Sikhi will be shown to have grown out of the Hindu Dharma.
