Description

In this unit pupils will deepen their understanding of the concept of dharma by how Hindus see the world. Through stories and case studies they will learn how dharma describes the world as one family and how this interconnection between humans and nature has inspired activism.

In Year 1 pupils studied Jewish, Christian and humanist stories about the origins of the world and attitudes to nature. Now, in Year 4, they look at this from a dharmic perspective. Drawing on their understanding of dharma from Year 2 and 3 they are able to analyase how the concept of dharma might impact how Hindus see the world and what action this might lead to.
