Laura Mucha: performance poetry

This unit uses and builds on pupils' experiences of performing poetry for an audience, which were explored in the prior Y2 unit, 'Performance Poetry'. In this unit, pupils will continue to develop their performance skills through exploration of the poet, Laura Mucha. They will read a number of poems on different themes, each time performing the poem and focusing on different performance skills. This unit prepares pupils for 'Poetry about personal experiences', where they will read, respond to and write poems linked to feelings, relationships and experiences.
