Why this why now
This unit will expand on pupils' ability to create a range of actions and perform them in sequence. Pupils will be challenged to apply flow to their sequences, as well as being able to move to the beat and keep accurate timing. Later, pupils will apply canon, unison and mirroring to their work in order to challenge their creativity.
Prior knowledge requirements
- Pupils know how to perform a wide range of actions.
- Pupils are able to coordinate and control their bodies to perform actions.
- Pupils will be able to link movements together in sequence.
- Pupils can use different techniques to respond to a stimuli.
- Pupils can communicate and idea by applying spatial qualities (size, level, direction).
- Pupils can communicate a mood or atmosphere by applying dynamics.
- Pupils can use different relationships to communicate concepts such as prepositions and dialogue.
