Description

This unit examines the importance of respect, compassion and understanding in communities. Pupils explore equality in modern Britain, understand individual rights and responsibilities in communities and workplaces, and learn how to access support.

As Year 10 pupils approach adulthood and increased independence, they need to understand their rights and responsibilities within communities and workplaces. This unit examines the rights and responsibilities of individuals in the workplace and the community. At this stage, pupils might be preparing for work experience, part-time employment and life beyond school.
