Description

This unit emphasises the importance of maintaining a healthy, balanced diet for physical wellbeing. Pupils explore the links between diet, exercise and health, learn about nutritional choices, and understand how healthy habits support growth, energy and long-term health.

As Year 7 pupils gain independence, they increasingly make their own food choices and establish habits that will last into adulthood. This unit provides essential knowledge about nutrition, the relationship between diet and health, and the importance of physical activity. Positioned early in secondary school, it empowers pupils to make informed decisions that support their growth, energy levels and long-term physical and mental wellbeing during an important developmental period.
