Everyone in a religion celebrates a festival in the same way.
The way religious festivals are celebrated varies based on where people live, their culture and denominational differences. For example, Christmas is widely celebrated by non-Christians, focusing on family, giving and joy.

Bring special occasions or religious festivals to life by providing sample foods for pupils to try. This is often motivating and it also highlights the significance of foods to the occasion. There are lots of opportunities for cross-curricular learning, as well as for making different foods.
