Key learning points
- Use possessive adjectives with nouns to say who things belong to.
- When there is an '-s' or '-n' at the end of a possessive, and a vowel follows, liaison occurs.
- Direct object pronouns are: 'me', 'te', 'le', 'la', 'l'', 'nous', 'vous', 'les'. They go before the verb.
- Indirect object pronouns are: 'me', 'te', 'lui', 'nous', 'vous', 'leur'. They go before the verb.

Common misconception
'Nous' always means 'we'.
'Nous' means 'we' when used as a subject pronoun, but it means 'us' when used as a direct object pronoun and '(to) us' when used as an indirect object pronoun.
Teacher tip
