- Pupils understand the difference between groundstrokes, volleys, drops, smashes and lobs as well as the importance of varying pace and angle to outwit their opponent.
- Pupils are able to maintain a cooperative rally by hitting predominately to their partners forehand and can feed a ball for their partner to practice shots.
- Pupils show an ability to persevere with tasks set and self-officiate games of singles and doubles fairly.

This unit will apply hand-eye coordination and racket skills to badminton with a focus on problem solving to win points and increasing proficiency with serves, clears and smashes. Pupils will also develop their ability to analyse performances to identify strengths and weaknesses.
