This unit is situated here as pupils will have studied Christianity in depth followed by teachings on life and death. They and can then see how views on issues such as marriage and divorce are informed by religious understandings of what it means to be human and the purpose of human life.

Marriage and the family
In this unit pupils will examine issues around sexuality, the family and relationships. They will study how Christians and other worldviews understand ideas of family and marriage and address how these affect views on issues such as divorce.
