They will have learnt about fitness components, training methods and target setting but now get to channel this knowledge into more authentic environments and learn more about completing challenges in small groups. Pupils can take these skills, experiences and positive attitudes towards participation into life with confidence and consequently lead healthy, active lives beyond school.

  • Pupils understand that to improve their fitness they need to work within a training zone and also tailor their training to match their individual needs.
  • Pupils are able to perform explosive muscular contractions to generate power and contrasting jogging that they can sustain for a longer period of time.
  • Pupils show a commitment to set personal targets and improve their fitness.
