Threads

  • Connect: teamwork and leadership
  • Move: performance and competition

Description

This unit will build core skills and develop the use of game tactics to outwit opponents in pressurised situations. Pupils will sharpen their team working skills with a focus on managing conflict and generating the conditions for a great game regardless of the skill level of the participants.

Pupils will already have shown commitment and an ability to transfer skills between different racket sports and now they will be tasked to apply tactics and strategies in a larger team sport. They will have had experience officiating and analysing performance which can now be applied to volleyball. Later in net and wall games they will learn to apply key principles in table tennis and feel ready to approach any net and wall game with confidence.
