Description

This unit will explore the correct technique for body weight exercises along with an understanding of how to adapt and modify stations to ensure a training benefit. Pupils will learn about the physical, mental and social benefits of physical activity and how to ensure they are safe when training.

Pupils will already have experienced elements of fitness training and have improved their understanding of how the body responds to exercise through OAA: teamwork, fitness and movement skills in action as well as athletics: run, throw, jump and officiate. Later in health and wellbeing pupils will learn more about leadership and setting SMART targets to help motivate and review progress.
