Description

This unit will develop consistency, timing and fluency in the execution of batting, bowling and fielding skills as well as providing pupils with the opportunity to demonstrate integrity through officiating their own games.

Pupils will already have explored techniques for batting and overarm bowling in cricket whilst also improving their effectiveness fielding to deny runs. Statistical analysis will help with decision making as they transition to small-sided rather than pairs games. Later in striking and fielding games pupils will be challenged to adapt and transfer skills to softball whilst learning a new set of rules, techniques and tactics. Leadership skills will continue to be developed in a number of upcoming units.
