Description

This unit will develop pupils’ ability to teach each other and to play a variety of creative cricket games independently. Pupils will draw on their leadership skills to train, compete and perform.

Pupils will already have improved their consistency, timing and fluency in the execution of batting, bowling and fielding skills. They will design games that enable groups to become immersed in activity which will have a positive effect on mental health. Later in striking and fielding games pupils will be challenged to adapt and transfer skills to softball whilst learning a new set of rules, techniques and tactics. They will also be able to spectate and socialise in and around competitive sport with an appreciation and understanding of how to play.

  2. Games to develop spin and pace bowling
  3. Aggressive batting for maximum runs
  4. Defensive batting
