Description

This unit will explore ways to lead, motivate and set SMART targets for themselves and others to help construct a meaningful fitness programme. Pupils will also learn about some of the barriers to participation and how to review progress to help maintain motivation.

Pupils will already have developed their technique and understanding around body weight exercises and how to adjust a circuit training routine to maximise long term health and fitness benefits. They will combine this with ideas around effective leadership in a range of contexts. Later in health and wellbeing pupils will commit to a personalised training plan and learn more about nutrition, energy and the importance of hydration on physical and mental health.
